Are you really getting married in Disney? Why?
Yes! What better place for us to get married, than the place we love most!?
The setting is gorgeous, the food is fabulous, and best of all -- it's lots
of fun! We appreciate that many of our guests will have to travel, we truly
hope that you will enjoy it. We look forward to sharing our happiest place
on earth with you!
What's the weather like in December?
Oooh that's a tough one! It can vary.. from week to week and from morning to
evening. It can be in the low 70's during the day and drop 20 degrees and be
in the 50's during the evening. About a week or 2 before, go online and take
a look at what the weather has been. Usually, it's comfortable enough to wear
jeans and a tshirt during the day, and bring along a sweatshirt or light
jacket for the evening. Last year before Christmas we needed jackets, a few
weeks later for New Year's we were in shorts! If you plan to come
to the dessert party Saturday night, please bring along a sweater
as it can get rather chilly by the water in the evening.
Where do I stay?
Disney has set aside rooms at a few Disney hotels for our guests at a special
discounted rate. There are about 25 different hotels on Disney property!
Disney categorizes the hotels as Value ($70 -$130), Moderate ($130 - $215),
Deluxe ($205 and up), and Home away from Home ($270 and up). Check out
our resorts page for
more information to help you decide. You may choose to stay at
any resort, but please provide us your reservation number, so your
stay can count toward our room minimum, and so we know where to
find you!.

Why should I stay on Disney Property?
One of the main reasons to choose to stay at a Disney hotel is ease of
transportation. Disney has
Magical Express to shuttle you between the airport and your hotel. There
is continual bus service from each hotel to all the different parks. Getting
to and from the weekend's events will be much easier. If you choose to stay
offsite, we strongly recommend you rent a car. There is an $8 per day parking
fee at all the main parking lots for guests not staying at a Disney Hotel.
Parking is free at all the main parking lots for guests staying at a Disney
hotel, just ask for a parking pass when you check in. Parking is free for
everyone at the hotels.
Do I need to buy park tickets to attend the wedding?
No. You will not need to purchase park tickets to attend the wedding.
The wedding will be held at Disney's Wedding Pavalion. The Wedding
Pavalion is adjacent to the Grand Floridian Hotel, and is not inside
the park so you will not need park tickets to go there. The reception
will be at The Contemporary Resort at the California Grill. This is
also outside the parks.
Do I need to buy park tickets to get into the parks?
Yes. With the exception of the welcome party at EPCOT, you will need
to purchase park passes to enter the parks. If you plan to attend the
welcome party and will not have a ticket for the day, please let us
know as soon as possible, so we may arrange entrance to the welcome
party for you.
How much are park passes?
Walt Disney world is comprised of 4 theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM
Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
There are several types of park tickets available. In most cases a single
park per day or ticket with a park hopper option will do. 1 Park per day,
means that you can choose 1 theme park, you can enter and return to that
theme park througout the day, but you can not go to another park. The
park hopping option lets you go between parks as often as you want
throughout the day.

Discounts are not available on 1 day park tickets.
Discounts are available on all other tickets. The prices listed above are
the standard price you would pay at the gate. Discounted tickets are
available from Disney through the website
Disney created for us and through reputable ticket brokers such as
Mapleleaf and Ticketmania. Discount tickets are also available through
AAA and somtimes through Costco.
A comprehensive ticket
chart is available on Allears net. It does not show the discounted
tickets that Disney has made available to wedding guests.
You will not need a ticket for the day of the wedding, unless you plan to
go in the park in the morning before the wedding.
If you choose not to buy your ticket through Disney, it is important to
choose a reputable ticket broker. Please, please, please do not purchase
your ticket through ebay! The tickets do not have dates on them, and
there is no visible way to check the number of days left. Disney will not
tell you how many days are left until you get to the gate.
What is there to do outside the parks?
There are plenty of things to do at Disney without going into the parks.
There are several golf and mini golf courses. Sammy Duvalls at the
Contemporary offers parasailing, water boat rentals, and water skiing.
All the hotels have different themes, and it's fun to go check them out.
There is shopping at Downtown Disney. The Animal Kingdom Lodge hotel, as
several public balconies that overlook the savannah. There is a nice
boardwalk at the Boardwalk hotel. DisneyQuest houses a ton of video games
and Disney created interactive games (requires a Disney Quest admission
ticket) At night, there is clubbing at Pleasure Island and our favorite -
the dueling piano bar called Jelly rolls.
